Lembo Smashes Opening Quarter Record, Raises More Than $143,000 in Nine Weeks

Energy behind Lembo with 1,300 donors in opening quarter

ROCKY HILL, CT – Connecticut State Comptroller Kevin Lembo, with donors from 120 towns across Connecticut, today reported a record-breaking start as he explores a run for governor, raising more than $143,000 in the first nine weeks of that campaign.

The $143,000 raised is the largest opening quarter by a non-incumbent Democrat in Connecticut’s public financing era. Eighty-six percent of the campaign’s donors are from Connecticut.

“The people of Connecticut are ready for real change to get our economy moving and our government fighting for working families,” Lembo said. “I’m inspired by the energy and grassroots support I’m getting from every corner of our state.”
